Retro Chic Presents: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

On 26 June, Retro Chic welcomed guests to Soho House Dean Street for an intimate jewelry salon inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

For one summer evening, flowers filled the rooms while jewelry appeared among soft light, live ballet and music. The setting offered guests a closer look at the world of Retro Chic and the stories behind its designs.

History, Nature and New Ideas

New-season designs were presented alongside pieces from The British Museum Collaboration Collection and Garden of Eden.

The British Museum Collaboration Collection draws on ancient symbols, artifacts and decorative traditions, reimagining them as jewelry for modern life. Garden of Eden looks to the natural world, translating organic forms and ideas of growth into sculptural pieces.

Alongside these collections, the new-season designs introduced a fresh expression of the Retro Chic aesthetic. Together, the pieces reflected the way we approach design: beginning with history, art or nature, then giving each reference a new life through contemporary craftsmanship.

Guests were invited to explore the details and try on the pieces that spoke to them. Once worn, jewelry becomes personal. Its meaning changes with the woman who chooses it and the story she brings to it.

An Evening of Movement and Creativity

Ballet performances unfolded throughout the evening, bringing strength, control and graceful movement into the floral setting.

DJ AMA, represented by We Run the World Female DJ Agency, shaped the atmosphere through music, adding a confident and contemporary rhythm to the rooms.

A jewelry and floral workshop invited guests to experiment with color, form and their own ideas. There was no prescribed result. The experience was guided by curiosity and individual choice, reflecting the same instinctive approach that lies behind every Retro Chic collection.

Over cocktails, food and conversation, guests from fashion, art and the creative community came together to discover the jewelry and share the evening.

Jewelry Worn Your Way

Retro Chic was created for women who value individuality and choose their own direction.

Freedom, courage and adventure are present in the way a woman dresses, works, travels and makes her voice heard. Jewelry can become part of that expression: a piece chosen for yourself, worn in your own way and given your own meaning.

A Midsummer Night, Reimagined brought this idea to life at Soho House. It was an evening shaped by imagination, but grounded in something real—the confidence to trust your own eye, follow your instincts and live on your own terms.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in London and became part of the evening.
